The fourth edition of the Summer School on Tumor Microenvironment and Immunity will take place this July, organized by the Czech Immunological Society in cooperation with the Institute of Microbiology of the CAS and under the auspices of, among others, the NICR.
The Summer School on Tumor Microenvironment and Immunity, to be held on 1–4 July 2026 in the beautiful setting of Nové Hrady Castle in South Bohemia, is intended primarily for PhD students and recent doctoral graduates. This year’s edition is dedicated to the memory of Prof. Isaac Witz, a pioneer in the field of tumor microenvironment immunology and a major advocate of research in this area. The program will include lectures and discussion sessions focused on topics such as the role of inflammation, the microbiome, and immune cells in the regulation of tumor growth, mechanisms of immunosuppression and resistance to immunotherapy, and emerging perspectives in immuno-oncology. A substantial part of the program will also be devoted to modern experimental and analytical approaches, including advanced imaging techniques, spatial tissue analysis, digital pathology, artificial intelligence applications, and big data analysis in biomedical research. The full program is available here.
The Summer School capacity is limited to 40 participants. If you are interested, you may register (and upload your abstract) here. We look forward to welcoming you!
